The Path to Pure Awareness

Bliss consciousness is a profound state of awareness, often referred to as the ultimate reality, beyond duality and limitation. Unlike fleeting emotions or surface-level joy, bliss consciousness represents the very essence of pure awareness, an eternal state of perfect peace and joy.

This state is unconditioned by external circumstances, and it’s inherently blissful. While many spend their lives chasing this feeling, it’s important to understand that bliss consciousness is not something to be attained, it’s already present within each of us.

It patiently waits to be realised by removing the veils of ego and the limitations of individual consciousness.

My experience with bliss consciousness has been life altering. With each inner connection the expansion of my heart and ability to love and experience love deepend beyond my wildest dreams and expectations. I have had many smaller moments of bliss but over the past six months have had many long connections with what I called at the time, Divine Love.

The experience is difficult to explain, much like becoming a parent or going through childbirth, you don’t fully understand it until you have experienced it yourself. My experience was of pure love and joy pulsing through my body, flowing from my heart chakra but also from every cell of my being. No part of me was void of energy, every cell consciously had an experience of bliss.

My connection lasted for many days, I literally saw the world through rose coloured glasses and it was divine. It changed the way my heart processes energy, it changed the way my heart now expresses love. Everyday I chose in some shape or form to connect inwards and express my bliss. There is no going back from the experience and for me it will forever be my homecoming and place of inner connection that truly belongs to me.

What is bliss consciousness?

In spiritual traditions, particularly those rooted in Vedic philosophy, this state is often described as Sat Chit Ananda, meaning “existence, consciousness, bliss.” This trinity represents the highest form of awareness, a state that transcends the duality of life.

Rather than being a fleeting experience, bliss consciousness is steady, silent, and ever-present. It’s a state where you feel completely at home with yourself and the world around you, free from fear and the anxieties that typically cloud our everyday existence.

Your true self seeks to live in this blissful state, which is your natural, unchanging essence. Vedic teachings affirm that your worth is infinite, and your life holds inherent meaning. You are a part of a greater cosmic plan, woven into the fabric of existence by higher consciousness.

The key to living a fulfilled life is to align with your dharma, your true self and purpose. By living authentically, you tap into the profound bliss that is your birthright.

How to Connect With Bliss Consciousness

While bliss consciousness is always present, many of us find it hidden beneath layers of conditioning, ego, and identification with the physical world. To access this state, spiritual practices like meditation and devotion can be powerful tools.

Meditation quiets the mind, helping you transcend thoughts and reconnect with your true essence, which is inherently blissful. As you deepen your practice, you may realise that bliss is not limited to your mind and body, it extends to the world around you. You feel at home no matter where you are, because you are at home in yourself.

A common misconception is that bliss consciousness is reserved for spiritual elites or those who have attained a certain level of enlightenment. But the truth is that this state of being is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, social status, or nationality.

Bliss consciousness is not an abstract concept far removed from daily life, it exists in constant communication with our everyday awareness. The key is to recognise that bliss isn’t something to be chased, but rather, it’s a state of being already within you, waiting to be uncovered.

Incorporating Bliss Consciousness Into Your Life

Bliss consciousness is often equated with divine consciousness, the ultimate source of creation, where existence and joy merge into one. When you connect with this state, whether through meditation or simply by being fully present, you encounter a bliss that is unshakeable and eternal. It’s a place immune to the ever-changing dynamics of life, providing a sense of peace and stability that transcends time and circumstance.

Incorporating bliss consciousness into your daily life requires a balance of inward reflection and outward action. By developing a regular meditation practice, you return to your source in pure consciousness. As you attune to this blissful state, even the complexities and challenges of life take on a new perspective. You begin to experience the deeper truth that life, at its core, is joyful. This doesn’t mean you will never encounter difficulties, but rather that you have a wellspring of peace and joy to draw from, no matter the external circumstances.

Another key aspect of integrating bliss consciousness into your life is to “follow your bliss.” This famous phrase is a reminder to pursue what brings you joy and fulfilment, aligning with your true nature. By doing so, you tap into the transformative power of Divine Consciousness, bringing vitality and meaning to all aspects of your life. Bliss consciousness isn’t just about fleeting happiness, it’s about embracing the truth that ‘existence, consciousness, and joy are interconnected,’ and recognising that you are a part of this divine flow.

Challenges on the Path to Bliss Consciousness

The journey to uncovering bliss consciousness can be both rewarding and challenging. One of the primary obstacles is the ‘active mind’, which constantly engages with the world and pulls us away from the stillness necessary to connect with our true nature. While meditation helps quiet the mind, maintaining a state of bliss consciousness consistently can feel difficult in the face of daily distractions.

Life itself often presents obstacles, conflict, trauma, and struggle, that can obscure the deeper reality of bliss consciousness. It’s easy to get lost in these experiences and forget the infinite joy that resides within. However, these dark moments can also serve as profound teachers, guiding you to a deeper understanding of your true nature.

More than a State of Joy

Bliss consciousness is more than just a state of joy, it is the very foundation of our existence, the core of who we are. It’s a state of being where existence, consciousness, and joy coalesce into one. By cultivating practices like meditation and living in alignment with your dharma, you can tap into this profound state of awareness, experiencing peace and joy in even the most difficult circumstances.

Remember, bliss is not something to be attained, it’s already within you, waiting to be uncovered. The journey to uncover it may not always be easy, but it is undoubtedly transformative.

As you navigate life’s challenges, remember that you are a child of bliss. By recognising and living from this truth, you can experience the profound joy that is your birthright, bringing light and peace to both yourself and the world around you.
